I think the finished floor looks nice and it also feels and "sounds" good underfoot. It doesn't quite have the warmth of real wood but maybe that's because we have it abutting the previous floor at the doorways? Here's how the two look together:

The boards all lock together tightly if you do it right and the finished floor looks pretty good. I haven't noticed any wear or scratches yet, but it isn't in a high use area. I accidentally put a small scratch in the middle of one bedroom when I slid a bed frame that had a nail sticking out. Surprisingly it barely scratched the floor and unless you are looking for it you don't see it at all.
