Point and Shoot Macros

Conclusion

Macro photography opens up a whole realm of new and interesting photographic subjects. What seemed invisible or commonplace takes on a whole new scale and life when blown up to five or ten times its normal size. Textures spring up from smooth surfaces and, it seems, everything has hair growing out of it!

Some cameras, like the A70, come with software for remotely controlling the camera while hooked to a computer over USB. Set up the software to take a picture every half hour (you’ll want to hook everything to AC power instead of batteries) and make time lapse photos of seeds sprouting, mold growing, or eggs hatching.
